Tina Gillespie's Challenge Project
Tina writes:
"Here's my entry for the latest challenge. It took a while because my friend Brooke and I had to get together to do our cards. I wish I could claim the technique I used, but I cased it from some cards on SplitCoast Stampers. It was my first go at masking and I'm very pleased with the results."

October Challenge- Tina Gillespie
Tina says "This layout just popped into my head as soon as I saw the sketch and turned out pretty much exactly as I'd pictured it. My wonderful husband put together the mosaic photo in the layout, and I'm really pleased with the finished product. Best of all, my son Alex gave it his approval!!"

More Picks from Shirley
CARD BY SHIRLEY
Shirley Says: "My favourite stamp set for male cards is the 'Card Games ' at the moment and use it a lot . And I remember the old saying " blue and green should never be seen " But here it seems to work for me."

CARD BY LINDA FITZGERALD:
Shirley says: "I liked Linda's 5 minute challenge . What a cutie ! A humorous Christmas greeting. Three different stamp sets combined to make us smile . I think it was the subtleness of colouring that appealed to me ..very understated but the comedy helped bring the Christmas greeting to the fore."
CARD BY SHIRLEY:
Shirley says: "I used a template from Stampin'Up site for the red Christmas cards . Great for card topper and embellishment . The greeting from "Christ Is Born" Stamp Set filled the frame beautifully and made the card easy to complete in 5 minutes . Simply easy but I liked the idea of two toning the greeting and also the backgrounds make the card interesting I think."

Shirley's Card Choices
CARD BY KERRIE-ANN ROOTSEY:
Shirley says: "What got me here was the unusual card topper . The humble square will never be the same for me! I have not seen this technique before . Something I'd like to try.
Shirley Says: "Pretty card , lady like , elegant . fold and edges shows off the border punch well. Two tone punched embellishment in centre cleverly will hide inside greeting .CARD BY JENNY SOULSBY:
Shirley says: "Great use of punches and pleasing colour combos. The pricked holes in corners ...nice touch !"

Kerrie's Card Pick
CARD BY KAY KOUFALAKIS:
Kerry says: "I love the soft, delicate colour of this card, very girly and pretty. Although it is quite difficult to pick up the details, I just think it is charming."
CARD BY JULIA LIM:
Kerry says: "I like everything about this card, the colouring and design, also the way Julia has used the scallop edge punch to make the square background behind the stamped image. Another featuring Fifth Ave. Set."

Kerry says: "I like this one because it of the colouring and the tiny touch of glitter that lifts the flowers. Sometimes I think we overcomplicate things by adding more layers and colours but this is just the two colours and it stands out very well."

Card Picks from Roz
As team leader, it is extremely difficult for me to choose cards from our Yahoo Group photo's. Each week I set my team a challenge, and over the past year or so, the number of cards in our group photo's has grown, and has become an incredible source of inspiration for all of us. What I have done is looked at the most recent uploads and picked three that stuck out to me. I am not showing favouritism, I promise!
CARD BY MELISSA CUTTS:
I love the colours and the layout of this card, it is so pretty and so perfectly balanced. Well done Melissa, it is GREAT to see some of your work again.
CARD BY JULIA LIM:
I love these colours too, and the use pf punches is so clever. A very well-designed card and so perfectly executed, well done Julia!

CARD BY CINDY BANKS:
The reason I chose this card is because I have not particularly liked this stamp set, but I LOVE it after seeing Cindy's card. I love the designer paper on the tag, the colours are great, it all comes together perfectly. Well done Cindy!

It has been AGES since this blog was updated!
Here are some card choices from Juliann Williams.
Card by Nicole Derendorf:
Juliann says "I love looking at Nicole's card ideas. This one is quite simple but very sweet. This is a great little set and the raised butterfly in the centre really makes this card come alive."

Card by Roz Blignault:
Juliann says "This a a very restful and feminine card. I love the Upsy Daisy set and the colours used and really like the ghosting technique used. The eyelet border punch used along the bottom just sets it off. Well done Roz."
Card by Julia Emms:
Juliann says "I know it's not Christmas but I came across this one by Julia. So Swirly can be appropriate for all sorts of occasions. The clear embossing on the lilac card really stands out with it's dark glossy appearance. The white gel pen just highlighting certain points just makes it extra interesting. As always very nice card Julia."

Kerrie-Ann's Card Choices
Card by Kay Koufalakis:
Kerrie says: "I like this one because it is a simple design but very effective. I like simple cards as I think anyone can reproduce this style, great for beginners as well as the more advanced card makers who just need to whip up something quickly."
Card by Juliann Williams:
Kerrie says: "Purple and pink are among my favourite colours and I think the combination here is just great. Like the way Juliann has added the co ordinating buttons too. Again, a fairly simple design but with a little added extra."
Card by Jenny Soulsby:
Kerrie says: "I like the look of this card, and can imagine it in several different colour ways but the red and black with the white is just classic and could be put to many uses."
