Layout Challenge

In my efforts to learn more about scrapbooking, I will be setting a scrapbooking challenge each month. I will create a simple layout and the girls in the team will be challenged to use my layout as inspiration to create their own. I figure if we start simple we can all learn and practice together! I will upload all the layouts to this blog for everyone to enjoy. Please email rozzieoz@tpg.com.au for the page map for this project.

So here goes, here is the layout. It is 6" x 6".
The baby in the photo is Sophie, my surrogate neice.

Here are some of my other pages based on the same layout.

Card Choices from Cindy Banks

Layout by Julia Emms:
Cindy says: "This layout Julia has done is so cute, the way she has chosen to embellish with the gold crown has really made this page. Julia has cordinated the colours and stamps so simply well to suit the theme. I love it!"

Card by Christine Rowland:
Cindy says: "I like this baby card because it's a vesitle design, just by chosing different colour combinations it can be either for a boy or girl. I also like this card because my favourite combo is scallops and ribbon. Very Sweet!

Card by Juliann Williams:
Cindy says: "This card is so simply but gorgeous to look at, I really like the colour choice and the pricking down the side gives the finishing touch to the card. Very Pretty!"

Jenny says: "
Love the colours, very clean and simple card. Elegant."

Christine Rowland's Card Picks

Card by Nicole Derendorf:

Christine says: "My first pick is this card as I love the colouring that Nicole has done over the roller stamp. It has a really nice effect. I don't really know why but this one just yells out to me."

Card by Michelle Beeby:

Christine says: "My next pick is this one. I am loving DSP at the moment and love what chelle has done with this.

Card by Christine Rowland:

Christine says: "And lastly I am going to pick my own card that I did for the pattered paper challenge. This was a piece of left over scrap that was from last years catalogue. I had done a scrapbooking page with it a couple days before and had this bit left. I love how this one ended up."

Jacqui Corbett's Card Choices

Card by Juliann Williams

Jacqui Says: "This card is gorgeous because the colour combination is simple and soft. I love how the background looks like textured wallpaper and the polka dots add a cute touch. The scallop circle punch with the happy thoughts stamp really combine cute with old fashioned in a stylish way."

Card by Cindy Banks

Jacqui says: "One of my favourite colour combinations is pink and chocolate. I run out of Choc Chip cardstock more than any other colour! This card is simple to stamp and put together but good colouring like this takes talent.I love the way Cindy has turned this stamp into a work of art. It is a card for any occasion."

Layout by Melissa Cutts

Jacqui says: "I love pretty much everything Melissa makes. Her work has a very naïve and free-spirited feel. Her use of In-Colours that complement each other and the very cute Pick a Petal stamp set mirror the pure joy of her daughter in the picture. The layout is simple yet striking and exudes a feeling of happiness."

Picks from Kay Koufalakis

CARD BY JENNY SOULSBY:

Kay says - "I love the colours used in this card, usual christmas colours without being overly bright, it is a very restful card for the christmas season where some cards can be a bit busy."

CARD BY JACQUI CORBETT:

Kay says- "Jacquie made this card for the Rich Regal team swap, the rich regal colours are quite elegant and the card Jacquie has designed matches this quite well. I'm a fan of fake stitching and love the way it really enhances the card I'm also quite taken with the way she has attached the ribbon using the horizontal slot punch."

CARD BY MELISSA CUTTS:

Kay says- "
I think the way Melissa has attached the images to this card is unique, I love the effect of the images hanging off a brad and the scallop, stitching and ribbon really makes it a stand out card."
